fun times with fun friends!

on labor day a few friends met up in payson AZ to get out on the gilbert heat. we didn't all stay together for very long but here were the series of events.
first of all my camera had no battery life christine shared her camera with me. :) so will say these pictures were taken by spinal tooth photography. hahahahaha! i'm cracking here
(total inside joke)
this sign cracked us up. REALLY? reclaimed waste water? WHY?
do i want to know what that is floating in the water? it doesn't look bad though does it? those are our other friends way off over in the distance on the dock...fishing...in reclaimed waste water. i'm sorry but is anyone else thinking poop here?
it looks pretty anyway, and it was an absolutely beautiful day.

i love how cute these boys look hanging over the edge just waiting to catch a fish...from the reclaimed poop water. i think they caught quite a few and then threw them back.
christine and i went to the other side of the park to check things out and got some cute pictures of the kids. we got some cute ones of her kids to but i will let her share those. :)

the girls are holding a big boat that tristan made and in it was a caterpillar that they found...they named him henry or as tatum called him hemery. they loved henry and they told him so. they had some good times with him on the way to our second destination. they heard him snore and saw him poop, i'm not going to go into the details of that but there WERE hilarious details that are completely inappropriate in this forum. hahahahahha! but so so funny!

here we are on our way to christopher creek. isn't it gorgeous?

we're here!

they just loved the woods.
wha?????? this was floating in the stream. it's funny to me because tatums favorite line in the movie nacho libre is "get that corn outta my face!" and it totally reminded me of that. by the way christine, the composition of this shot is amazing. hahahaha!
i love this picture so much because it totally took me back to a time when tristan and brenna were very best friends. we don't ever really see them alone together like this cause the girls are always together and vice verse but they really stuck together on this little journey.
here they are at two. so little and so cute. by this weekend they will both be 8. i can't believe how time has flown.
and here are the girls in their own happy little world.
these kids had the greatest time together that day. they all fell into the water and mud too many time to count and they loved every minute of it. this is one of those times where i really feel like memories were made that day and i'm so glad we had some of our very favorite people to share it with. we love you so very much

looks like a perfect labor day weekend. I love all the little details.......that's what is so great about blogging. You probably wouldn't have put all that in a scrapbook, but they are the "real" things you want to remember. By the way, I LOVE Nacho Libre, and my Max (3) quotes the same corn line ALL the time!!

I wasn't thinking of Nacho, but more of our pioneer heritage. ROFL! The rich greens in the pics makes them so beautiful! I love nature for that. Looks like so much fun! I just bought spinal teeth, BFGW this weekend. :)

Stacy, sounds like a fun weekend. Did you guys camp? I'm looking for a good campground around here if I can talk my husband into it.

When I was visiting my brother the other day I asked him if he knew who I was taking about when I described you (I don't think I even know your last name, nor your son's first name), and he introduced me to Tristan. What a small world. It's funny because at the beginning of the year Josh was excited because he told me he had a parent who knows Tara Whitney, and he knew I'd love that since I think she's my favorite photographer. Some day when I'm rich and famous I'm going to hire her for family pictures. Anyway, of course I guess that parent was you. Do you really know her?

I hope you are surviving without your husband! That's way too long!

What a super fun day! Uhm, that reclaimed water....SCARY! But when I saw corn on the cob, it made perfect sense. Corn on cob=poop. I'll just leave it at that. Shar put it more eloquintly, 'our heritage'...rofl!!

Love all the pictures...so fun to see kids just being kids, dirt and all. What a beautiful place..all the trees, love the nature pics :)

miss you.

Stacy,

Looks like you guys had so much fun... totally wich I could have gone. Miss you guys and love seeing pictures of the kids. Except... what the heck is up with Jenna, has she been watching the Simple Life or something. She has this lame Paris Hilton posed smile in every picture. Or, maybe she just ate dog mess and still has some on her upper lip she likes smelling? Why don't you talk w/ her about this. Love you all.

Jeff

P.S. If anyone is interested, I can bring home a bowl of black pudding with the awful and some Haggass. Stacy can explain.

It looks like you all had a great time...the only thing that would have made it better is if I was there. Kidding! Great pictures! I need to take some lessons from you.

That does look like it was a lot of fun, even with all the other garbage you dealt with that day. You two take such beautiful pictures. What's my problem?

I've got to go to Christopher Creek sometime...looks so beautiful. I was cracking up as I read this...the best part is that Tatum's favorite line in Nacho Libre is "get that corn outta my face!"
