the title of this post is pulled from bill cosby himself and twisted around a bit by me (if you haven't seen this movie you have to see it, it's hilarious). in other words, i threw crap away that needed to be thrown a way.
the kids rooms were out of control. we got rid of half of the stuff that tristan had in his toy box.
and it even closes now! :)
and this is what it looked like by the evening. it was a lot of work and i know i shouldn't share this but it has been two months since the kids sheets have been washed so i did that while i was at it. i know it's gross but you guys i HATE bunk beds! the thought of washing the sheets for this bed gives me a headache so i just avoid it. on a positive note, my kids slept in clean sheets last night. :)
awwwwwwww and it smells so nice in this room again.
have the happiest and CLEANEST day ever.
i know i will. ;)

We just did our boys room the other day, too. Yeah, I know, talk about a lot of crap.... It amazes me the amount of trash bags we end up with after it's done. I was over at Christensens yesterday and she was cleaning out, too. It must be a neighborhood thing right now... (and shhh...I can relate to the sheet thing!)
ooooohh that feels good doesnt it?! Trust me 2 months actually doesnt sound to bad, yes, I agree its gross, but with 10 million piles of laundry a week, kids sheets sometimes go by the wayside in our house as well.
Amazing. What else can be said!
Not a lot makes me happier than things like this. Seriously, organization is a bigger high than hard drugs I'm sure...I wouldn't know though...I promise!!
oh this is much happiness! keep talking about this. I want to do my closet. so happy for you! whenever I hear that line from Bill Cosby I think of you. Also "Dad is great.... give us the chocolate cake!" LOL I am so glad we got the chance to talk today. LOVE YOU TONS!
Wow it looks great! I'm so glad that you did that, it must feel great. I have to do that occasionally too, and I feel like I've lost 50 pounds when I'm done. (If it were only just that easy...)
wow! doesn't that feel good. I love dejunking. It really is a good feeling. When I saw your after pictures I found myself letting out a sigh of relief. Now if only I could get motivated to do it around here. Maybe I'll post my dirty rooms too so nobody ever has to feel bad about their own and believe me there have been times when I didn't wash sheets for 2 months probably even longer. Isn't it nice to know you're not the only one sometimes. Anyway looks great maybe I'll do a before and after one of these days.
I've been trying to de-junk for over a month now. I got all inspired right before Christmas and then I haven't gotten myself back in the mood. But it needs to be done so bad! So, I think you've inspired me once again...I better go get on it!
So, now that you fought the mess and won, are you going to come out and play? Haven't seen much of you in about a week now. Let's get together yeah, yeah, yeah! Oh, and you did a beautiful job on the kids bedrooms! They look fantastic.
Hey Stacy,
I am so glad you made a comment. Where are you in AZ. I can't believe you have been here. We live in Taylor which is by Show Low. You should come see us or I can come see you the next time we come down. So how the heck are you?
Oh my gosh. I will have to come see you when I am there next. I was just there last week. Yes my dad actually lived here in Taylor with me but since mom passed away he moved to holdbrook which is the opposite Show Low. But he goes back to California alot lately. I think he has a crush on Evi Neilson. I think it really cute. Well email me your phone number and I will call you when I get down there next. jillypooh77@hotmail.com
It's sooooo pretty now! That makes me feel so much better just looking at the cleanliness. Really, I was feeling a little sick from the before pics. so thanks.
it is the best feeling to trash their trash.
im sorry the dresser broke. that is very disheartening.
I totally did this to my girls and boy room this week too, before I even saw your post. So far, four boxes worth of stuff to DI, BUT I think we need to purge more clothes over the weekend...
That is horrid what happened soon after with the dresser! Amen to the bunkbed issue!
