happy valentines day

i like to do something fun for the kids on valentines day. this year the morning wasn't so rushed since it was on a saturday. it was nice to just take our time. i loved that it was light outside this year when when we started our morning .
these were the little goodies that i left for the kids. there were just a couple of fun things and some treats for them.

i made heart shaped pancakes and this time i made the pancakes and the whipped cream pink. the kids thought that was fun and so did i.

me and one of my valentines. :)

jeff lost his wedding ring about a month ago and when i was doing the laundry 2 days ago i found it. i know it sounds like it's been a month since i did laundry but...well...that's kinda true except when we really needed something to wear we would wash it...apparently he didn't need to wear whatever article of clothing it was in. this has NOTHING to do with the ring! anyway i found it and gave it to him for v-day. he buys himself a ton of stuff so he doesn't ever really get gifts from me. I AM HIS GIFT! :) now don't judge me about the laundry, i know you're still thinking about that.
jeff and the kids got me some weight watcher treats and an MP3 player. can't wait to get some songs on it so i can take it to the gym with me.
hope your day was full of love.

Finding the ring in time for Valentines Day sounds like divine intervention! How else could a free but totally sweet and meaningful gift just fall into your lap?? And laundryshmondry, who cares!

I'm actually wondering more about how you can look so good early Saturday morning...and with a newborn?!! The laundry is completely normal...isn't it?!

sounds so cute and fun. Can't wait to do that for my kids. I was just too lazy to plan it out ahead of time. Love it though!

Looks like a fun day. And believe me I won't judge you about the laundry if you won't judge me. Love the pink pancakes, we do that every year too and we also do pink milk. The kids wouldn't let me change that tradition for the world. Funny how those cute little touches mean something great to them.

What a good Mother you are. Your children are so lucky...and they won't know how lucky 'till they have little ones of their own.

You are one heck of a sweet mom! My kids really got ripped off. I am going to remember this for next year. But if I forget please feel free to remind me. :)

Wow, you're the uber cool lovey mom! We sort of ignore the V.Day stuff and honor St. Paddy's day. You gotta pick your Saints you know. Hubby's Irish and well... we all like the idea of lepporchans (or howevertheheck you spell that) instead of cupids running around. So, count on gree pancakes in March!

That just looks like too much fun! This is the 1st year we did something for the girls and they called it love you day! I need to remember the pancacks for next year!

Maybe we will do Valentines again and use your idea of pink hearts, pink pancakes, and whipped cream. Super cute and fun. Great job mom. Love the ring story. Gaylene

I'm so happy the cupid spirit is shining! Although 'Cupid' didn't do his usual (mostly because there isn't any place close to get fun stuff) we still had a fun day. Kyle decorated, and told me 'Thank you' for all the years I made it nice for him. Too sweet.
